Insulating Concrete Forms are constructed with
high density polystyrene (styrofoam) blocks inside
and outside. They are available in different widths,
but we typically use an 8" wall.
The blocks are glued together to form the outer
walls of the house, with steel rebar tied vertically
and horizontally inside.
The window and door openings blocked out, and the
concrete wall is then poured to fill the formed walls
and give you the beginning of one of the best home
construction methods available!
