ICFs - Insulating Concrete
Forms
- are a great way to
improve the energy efficiency
of your home.

ICF homes are better insulated
(R50), quieter and cleaner than
conventional construction.
They also offer significant
savings on energy costs over a
conventional stick framed
home. An ICF home is fire safe,
environmentally friendly and
will stand the test of time.
Insulating Concrete Forms are constructed
with high density polystyrene (styrofoam)
blocks inside and outside. They are
available in different widths, but we
typically use a 6" or 8" wall.

The blocks are glued together to form the
outer walls of the house, with steel rebar tied
vertically and horizontally inside.
The
window and door openings are blocked out,
and the concrete wall is then poured to fill
the formed walls and give you the beginning
of one of the best home construction methods
available!

Spray-in Foam Insulation

In place of fiberglass insulation, the
polyurethane foam insulation is
sprayed in place, filling ever corner
and every joint and sealing out
moisture, wind and sound.
We recommend using this type of
insulation in the roof of an ICF
house, or throughout the envelope of
a 2"x6" framed home because of the
many benefits it provides.
